Countdown Timer Fullscreen

You're giving a presentation and need to keep to 10 minutes. You're proctoring an exam and students need to see the remaining time from across the room. You're cooking and want a timer visible from the counter without squinting at a tiny phone screen. This tool puts a giant digit countdown on a solid-color background — readable from a projector, a wall-mounted monitor, or even the back of a classroom. Pick a preset (1, 5, 10, or 25 minutes) or type your own custom time. Change the background color any time with the color picker or preset swatches. When time's up, the display flashes to grab attention. No signup, no download, no ads over the numbers — just a clean, readable timer.

How to use

  1. Click a preset button (1/5/10/25 min) or enter a custom number of minutes.
  2. Pick a background color using the swatches or color picker below.
  3. Hit Full Screen for projector use, or Start to begin the countdown in the preview.
00:00
Does the timer keep running if I switch tabs?

The timer relies on `setInterval` and wall-clock correction, so it will stay accurate. However, browsers may throttle inactive tabs — keep this page visible for the most precise countdown, especially for test-taking or presentations where every second counts.

Can I change the background color while the timer is running?

Yes — the color picker and preset color buttons work at any time. The countdown continues uninterrupted regardless of background changes.

What happens when the timer reaches zero?

The display flashes between white and the selected background color and shows 00:00. This visual pulse is hard to ignore even from across the room. Click anywhere or press Esc to stop it and reset the timer.
